The 16th Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week will be held in Philadelphia and Boston on June 14-21, 2012. It will highlight biotechnology, nanotechnology, the pharmaceutical industry, and the life sciences. RANIT-BIO will open on June 14-15, 2012 with a Welcoming Ceremony in Philadelphia City Hall and the Russian-American Life Sciences Conference. The 16th Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week will conclude with the 2012 BIO International Convention held on June 18-21, 2012 with the Russian country seminar at BIO organized by the Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council on June 19. Russian Participation at the AdvaMed 2012 Conference
The MARBC will organize Russian participation in AdvaMed. This event will take place in Boston, MA on October 1-3, 2012. The MARBC is a supporting partner of AdvaMed, the premier medical technology conference and exhibition for businessmen and financiers in the Med Tech field.



Renewable Energy Technology Conference and Exhibition
The MARBC will bring Russian participation in leading clean energy events including Renewable Energy Technology Conference and Exhibition (RETECH 2012) in Washington, D.C. on October 17-19, 2012 and Phase II of Renewable Energy in America to be held in Washington D.C. from December 2012.
The Phase II National Policy Forum will lay the groundwork for the 2013 US Renewable energy market and finance policy agenda. RETECH is the American Council on Renewable Energy's premier trade gathering of the all-renewable energy industry in the United States. MARBC is continuing its participation as a supporting organization of the RETECH and will work to develop the Russian program and business exposition in the events.

The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council (MARBC) is continuing to organize American participation in the leading biotechnology events in Russia.
Bio TechnologiesThe MARBC will serve as a partner for the Moscow International Congress "Pharmaceutical and Medical Biotechnology" and International Specialized Exhibition "BIOTECH WORLD 2012", which will be held on March 20-22, 2012 at the House of the Moscow City Government. As part of the Congress, the MARBC will be organizing a Russian-American symposium.

It will focus on information technology, biotechnology, alternative energy, nanotechnology, robotics, chemical engineering, safety and security technologies, technology in education, and entrepreneurship.

Days of Russian-American Innovation Entrepreneurship Cooperation (RAVC 2011) will be held from November 28 - December 2, 2011 in Philadelphia and the Mid-Atlantic region. Under the framework of RAVC 2011, the MARBC is organizing the 7th Annual Russian – American Technology Entrepreneurship Conference on December 1, 2011 and is facilitating Russian participation in the Mid-Atlantic Venture Conference (IMPACT 2011) on November 28-30, 2011. IMPACT is one of the oldest venture capital events in the United States.

The key and concluding event of the 12th RANIT will be BIO 2010, taking place on May 3-6, 2010 in Chicago. Focusing upon Russia's Emerging Bio-economy: New Developments in Regional Bioclusters, Biofuels, and Bionanotechnology, MARBC will present the Russian biotechnology industry during the first day of BIO 2010 conference, on May 3.

Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT)

Designed to bring together entrepreneurs, scientists, venture capitalists, and established corporations within the American and Russian technology communities, Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT), organized by the Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council (MARBC), is the most significant event in the Mid-Atlantic region devoted to Russian-American technology and business cooperation. The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council will host the 11th RANIT from November 16-20, 2009 and the 12th RANIT from April 28 - May 6, 2010.

Days of Russian-American Venture Industry Cooperation
The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council is pleased to announce Days of Russian-American Venture Industry Cooperation, which will take place in Philadelphia and the Mid-Atlantic region in the first week of November 2009. A Russian delegation of industry executives will participate in a number of business events and learn about the U.S. venture capital industry. As an important part of the Days of Russian-American Venture Industry Cooperation, MARBC is organizing Russian participation in the Mid-Atlantic Capital Conference (MAC) on November 3-4.

Mid-Atlantic BIO Conference
The Mid-Atlantic BIO Conference, which will take place in Washington, DC from November 4-6, 2009, is the region’s premier event to combine a biotechnology industry convention and investor conference under one roof. The conference will provide additional global focus by including elements such as an International Partnering Program to help international companies connect with regional businesses. MARBC is an international sponsoring organization of Mid-Atlantic BIO and will organize a Russian exhibition, and presentations about the latest biotechnology developments in Russia. .

MARBC Russian Programs at ITEC New York, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia
The MARBC will be participating in three ITEC conferences and trade shows in 2009: ITEC New York on April 15, ITEC Washington D.C. on April 28, and ITEC Philadelphia on November 12. ITEC is the nation’s largest series of regional business technology events for IT and business professionals. The Mid-Atlantic-Russia Business Council will deliver a keynote a panel: "Thinking Globally in Today's Economic Environment and How To Expand Globally in an IT Market". MARBC is a partnering organization with ITEC and will again organize Russian exhibition and present panel discussions highlighting Russian information technology capabilities.

MARBC organizes program alongside G20 Summit
On September 24-25, 2009 the tenth G20 Summit will be held in Pittsburgh, gathering together the heads of state of the world s major economic powers to discuss the current global economic situation. The selection of Pittsburgh highlights the importance of our region as an engine of economic prosperity and of connections to emerging international markets. Given the importance of this moment in Russian-American relations, the selection of Pittsburgh is both timely and relevant. In conjunction with the G20 activities, the MARBC will organize a Russian-American innovation technology program dealing with Russian-American cooperation in the field of emerging technologies and entrepreneurship.

MARBC holds Russian-American seminar at 9th Moscow International Salon of Innovations and Investments
The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council (MARBC) will hold a Russian-American seminar at the 9th Moscow International Salon of Innovations and Investments, which runs from August 26-29 at the All-Russian Exhibition Center. The seminar, to be held on August 28th, 2009, and entitled “Pressing questions for Russian-American cooperation in the field of innovation technology. Attracting financing and realizing innovation technology projects in Russia and the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region,” will focus on development strategies for innovation enterprises in the Russian and U.S. Mid-Atlantic markets. Co-organized by the MARBC, the Federal Agency for Science and Innovation (Rosnauka), the Moscow Entrepreneurship Association, and the International Center for Technological Cooperation, the seminar will promote Russian-American cooperation in the fields of innovation technology and capital growth.

Philadelphia Commemorates First Russian Consul to U.S.
On August 20, 2009, the MARBC will commemorate the bicentennial of the arrival of the first Russian Consul, Andrei Yakovlevich Dashkov, in the United States. Organized by the MARBC in cooperation with the City of Philadelphia, a ceremony at Philadelphia City Hall will discuss recent developments and the future of Russian-American relations. The ceremony will include an address by Mayor Michael Nutter, who will welcome Russian officials, Mid-Atlantic state and city officials, MARBC members, supporting organizations, and other members of the business community. The Russian Ambassador to the U.S., Sergey I. Kislyak, will present a keynote speech. The ceremony will be accompanied by a conference on the history and importance of Russian-American relations in business, technology, and diplomacy.

Two summer events are being co-organized by MARBC and other international chambers of commerce from the Greater Philadelphia region. The first event, to be held on June 23, 2009, is the Behind the Scenes Tour of the Pennsylvania Convention Center Vision for the Future. It will showcase opportunities and possibilities of the expanded Convention Center in Philadelphia. MARBC and other international chambers of commerce from the Greater Philadelphia region are also co-organizing a summer networking reception on July 21, 2009, at SAP America in Newton Square, Pennsylvania.

Russian-American Seminar on Financing for Innovative Projects (3rd Moscow Venture Forum)
The Third Moscow Venture Forum will bring together investors and business developers in order to help entrepreneurs manage in the current financial crisis. The discussion will include ways to finance innovative projects and strategically navigate through the available sources of funding. The event will be held on June 17-18, 2009, at the Central House of the Entrepreneur in Moscow. As a part of the Moscow Venture Forum, MARBC will be organizing a Russian-American Seminar on Financing for Innovative Projects on June 18th.

10th and 11th Semi-Annual
Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT)
Designed to bring together entrepreneurs, scientists, venture capitalists, and established corporations within the American and Russian technology communities, Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT), organized by the Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council (MARBC), is the most significant event in the Mid-Atlantic region devoted to Russian-American technology and business cooperation. The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council will host the 10th RANIT from May 13-22, 2009 and the 11th RANIT from November 16-20, 2009.

10th Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT)
The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council will host the 10th Semi-Annual Biotechnological Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT-BIO) May 13 - 22, 2009. The 10th RANIT-BIO will begin in Philadelphia and Washington on May 13-16, 2009. Starting in Philadelphia, special events at RANIT-BIO will include a welcoming ceremony and conference on May 13. The key and concluding event of the 10th RANIT will be BIO 2009 May 18 - 21, 2009 in Atlanta. Focusing upon “Russia’s Emerging Bio-economy: New Developments in Regional Bioclusters, Biofuels, and Bionanotechnology,” MARBC will present the Russian biotechnology industry during the BIO 2009 International Day on May 20, 2009.

Russian Mayors' Delegation Visits Philadelphia
The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council (MARBC) is pleased to announce it hosted a delegation of mayors and local government officials from the Russian Federation in Philadelphia on July 12, 2006. The delegation came to the United States only days before the G8 Summit was held for the first time in Russia and its visit aimed to foster political, cultural and commercial interactions between the United States and Russia.     Mid-Atlantic Russia Business Council Extends Invitation to Upcoming Russian-American Cultural Events Including the World Premier of the Antigone Dance-Theatre Production
    The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council (MARBC) would like to extend an invitation to upcoming Russian-American cultural event taking place in Philadelphia - the world premier of the Antigone dance-theatre production on March 16 and 17 at 7:30 pm at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. The idea for Antigone began while choreographer Rebecca Davis was studying in St. Petersburg, Russia with a Fulbright program grant. There, Davis led a cooperative effort between Russians, Americans and Canadians that resulted in this unique and interesting dance-theatre production. The production will star Russian soloist dancers from the Mussorgsky Ballet of Russia and will feature original music by Timofey Buzina, the General Manager of Saint Petersburg Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra. MARBC is organizing a special opportunity to meet members of the cast of Antigone from Russia and other countries at 9 pm at the Kimmel Center after the performance being given on March 17.

    Flourishing Russian Program at C3 Expo to be Extended
    The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council, partnering with the C3 Expo Information and Communications Technology Trade Fair, organized a highly successful Russian - American program, including a Russian Conference and a Russian Pavilion in the exhibit hall. The C3 Expo trade fair was held June 28-30, 2005 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, NY.     BIO 2006
    June 2005 was a prolific time for Russian - American business and technology cooperation. The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council organized the Russian pavilion at BIO 2005 as part of the Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT).
