Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT)

Designed to bring together entrepreneurs, scientists, venture capitalists, and established corporations within the American and Russian technology communities. RANIT, organized by the Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council (MARBC), is the most significant event in the Mid-Atlantic region devoted to Russian-American technology and business cooperation. The 8th Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT) in the Mid-Atlantic States is beginning June 11, 2008, and the 9th RANIT is beginning mid-November, 2008.

Days of Russian-American Venture Industry Cooperation
Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council announces the Days of Russian-American Venture Industry Cooperation, which will take place in Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and the Mid-Atlantic in October of 2008. A Russian delegation of government and industry executives will participate in a number of venture capital business events and learn about the U.S. venture capital industry. The major event of the Days of Russian-American Venture Industry Cooperation is the Mid-Atlantic Venture Conference in Philadelphia.

MARBC Month In Russia    In March 2008, the Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council (MARBC) will present the MARBC Month in Russia. Considering this year’s establishment of Pennsylvania’s Authorized Trade Representative (ATR) in Moscow, which is the first of its kind by any U.S. state, and the planned subsequent trade missions to Russia, the MARBC will be expanding this program next year into the Month of the U.S. Mid-Atlantic Region in Russia

7th Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT) The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business 21stcenturyCouncil (MARBC) will host the 7th Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT) in the Mid-Atlantic states on November 12-16, 2007. The 7th Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week will focus on information technology, alternative energy technology, nanotechnology, robotics, chemical engineering, safety and security technologies, technology in education, venture capital, and entrepreneurship.

Delegation from the Russian Chemical Industry Hosted by MARBC     The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council (MARBC) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a delegation from the Russian chemical industry to the Mid-Atlantic region from October 29 November 3, 2007.  The delegation from the chemical sector, which includes state officials and business executives from major Russian chemical companies, will participate in the Chem Show held in New York on October 30 - November 1, 2007. On November 1-2, the MARBC will bring the Russian delegation to Wilmington and Philadelphia  The MARBC-organized welcoming ceremony will take place in Philadelphia City Hall on November 2, 2007.

Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council announces the Days of Russian-American Venture Industry Cooperation, which will take place in Philadelphia and the Mid-Atlantic region October 22-26, 2007. Russian Mayors' Delegation Visits Philadelphia
The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council (MARBC) is pleased to announce it hosted a delegation of mayors and local government officials from the Russian Federation in Philadelphia on July 12, 2006. The delegation came to the United States only days before the G8 Summit was held for the first time in Russia and its visit aimed to foster political, cultural and commercial interactions between the United States and Russia. Members of the delegation also visited New York and Washington, D.C. A follow-up delegation of mayors and government officials is planning to visit Philadelphia on July 16 and 17, 2007. Russian - American Conference and Exhibition in conjunction with C3 EXPO 2007
  The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council is pleased to announce the Russian - American Conference and Exhibition, which will take place in conjunction with the Corporate and Channel Computing Expo (C3 EXPO) from June 26-28, 2007 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, NY. This year, the main part of the Russian Conference will be held on June 27.  The Mid-Atlantic- Russia Business recently coordinated the successful American participation in the 7th International Forum “High Technology of the 21st Century in Moscow from April 24-28, 2006. As part of the American program, MARBC President Val Kogan moderated a seminar entitled “Opportunities for Russian-American scientific-technical cooperation” and John Gallagher, Chairman of the United States Industry Coalition, gave a keynote presentation. The Council also wishes to to extend an invitation to the 8th International Forum “High Technology of the 21st Century” to be held April 23-27, 2007.

On February 28, 2007, the delegation of the Krasnodar and Rostov regions will be led by their governors to meet with top executives and officials in the gaming and entertainment industry of the greater North East.

FPRI & MARBC joint event
The Foreign Policy Research Institute and the Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council are pleased to announce the upcoming seminar with Prof. Kotkin, a professor of history and the director of the Program in Russian and Eurasian Studies at Princeton University.  The event will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2007 from 4:00 pm at the Union League of Philadelphia, located at 140 South Broad Street in Philadelphia.

Russian-American program at the IV International Specialized Exhibition “Robotics”
The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council is pleased to announce that it will be organizing a Russian-American program at the IV International Specialized Exhibition “Robotics” being held at the Moscow VVC, Hall 70, from October 17-20, 2006. The Russian-American program will be the largest and most prominent portion of the international business section being planned at the exhibition. The Robotics Exhibition serves as the leading forum in Russia for experts in the field of robotics and intelligent design systems and places a strong emphasis on international cooperation in the areas of robotic systems development and production.

The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council is pleased to announce that it will be organizing Russian participation at SMART TechTrends 2006. TechTrends is an annual exhibition organized by SMART (Strengthening the Mid Atlantic Region for Tomorrow) with a goal of furthering technological development and dissemination of innovative ideas. In 2006, RANIT will also include events held in celebration of the 300-year anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Franklin, who was the first American member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Russian delegations representing the best Russian technology companies will take part in the various regional technology events of RANIT.

    The Mid-Atlantic Russia Business Council (MARBC) is pleased to announce that the 4th Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT) being held from April 6-12, 2006 will include a visit on April 7 to "The Princess & the Patriot" exhibit and a Russian musical performance which compliments the exhibit at the Museum of the American Philosophical Society in Philadelphia. The exhibit has been chosen to be part of the RANIT program because it illustrates the long history of Russian-American cooperation.     Organized under the auspices of Mid-Atlantic Russia Business Council, the Fourth Moscow International Specialized Exhibition "Biotech World 2007" and International Scientific-and-Practical Conference "Biotechnology: State of the Art and Prospects of Development" will take place March 14-17, 2006 in Moscow, Russia.

    Mid-Atlantic Russia Business Council Extends Invitation to Upcoming Russian-American Cultural Events Including the World Premier of the Antigone Dance-Theatre Production
    The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council (MARBC) would like to extend an invitation to upcoming Russian-American cultural event taking place in Philadelphia - the world premier of the Antigone dance-theatre production on March 16 and 17 at 7:30 pm at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. The idea for Antigone began while choreographer Rebecca Davis was studying in St. Petersburg, Russia with a Fulbright program grant. There, Davis led a cooperative effort between Russians, Americans and Canadians that resulted in this unique and interesting dance-theatre production. The production will star Russian soloist dancers from the Mussorgsky Ballet of Russia and will feature original music by Timofey Buzina, the General Manager of Saint Petersburg Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra. MARBC is organizing a special opportunity to meet members of the cast of Antigone from Russia and other countries at 9 pm at the Kimmel Center after the performance being given on March 17.

    BIO 2006
    June 2005 was a prolific time for Russian - American business and technology cooperation. The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council organized the Russian pavilion at BIO 2005 as part of the Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT). As the organizer for the official Russian delegation to BIO, MARBC will next year once again be bringing Russian biotechnology companies to the United States to participate BIO 2006 in Chicago, Illinois, and then to Philadelphia in April.

    "GOSZAKAZ" Exhibition-Forum for State Purchasing
    The Mid-Atlantic Russian Business Council is pleased to announce a major upcoming event in Russia, "GOSZAKAZ," an exhibition and informational forum for purchasers and suppliers involved in the state procurement system. MARBC will provide support and organization for the participation by American companies. The forum-exhibition will be held form March 14-16, 2006 in Moscow, Russia.

    Mid-Atlantic Russian Business Council will participate in the XI Moscow Industrial Trade Fair - one of the central events organized around the celebration of City Day in Moscow and directed towards the promotion of national industrial production and technology in the Russian market. The Moscow Association of Entrepreneurs, longstanding partner of the Mid-Atlantic Russian Business Council, will organize a roundtable in the business program portion of the trade fair on "Bank Investment in Industry and High Technology: Experience and Challenges."
